Research Interests

Foundations of Next-Generation AI

Large Language Models (LLMs) and sparse expert architectures underpin the next wave of intelligent systems, enabling self-supervised and few-shot learning across diverse tasks. Vision-language models deliver seamless multimodal understanding, while explainable and trustworthy AI ensures transparency and alignment with human values.

Secure, Privacy-Preserving Systems

Federated and encrypted learning frameworks protect data on IoT devices, complemented by zero-trust architectures and blockchain-based protocols that fortify distributed systems. Research in adversarial robustness safeguards model integrity against evolving threats.

Advanced Image Processing & Computer Vision

Generative Adversarial Networks and diffusion models drive high-fidelity image synthesis, while vision transformers and hybrid CNN-transformer architectures excel in tasks from super-resolution and 3D reconstruction to low-light enhancement. Real-time video analytics and explainable CV techniques, including deepfake detection, enable trustworthy autonomous perception.

Future Research Focus

Over the next few years, focus will center on architecting and optimizing large-scale multimodal transformers and sparse-expert large language models. Integrating vision-language frameworks with GAN and diffusion-based super-resolution and 3D reconstruction modules. Developing zero-trust, blockchain-anchored architectures to secure decentralized digital twins in smart cities. Designing multi-agent deep reinforcement learning systems with temporal-attention mechanisms for adaptive traffic and energy grid control all underpinned by neuromorphic and quantum-classical hybrid compute paradigms to achieve ultra-low-latency, energy-efficient AI.
